Cooking up something tasty (and healthy) in 2026…
It’s going to be a delicious year! We’re going to see just how yummy healthy, wholesome food can be. With a focus on health and wellness, we will launch a vegetable forward direct-to-consumer prepared meal program in early 2026 in addition to our pop-ups and catering service.
HOW IT WORKS: Each week, I will plan a menu of health-conscious meals including a comforting hearty and super-food rich main, nutritive composed green salad, vegan soup, fruit based dessert, protein enhanced sweet treat and healing cold pressed juice tonic. I’ll release the menus on Sunday here on my website and via email and you can place an a-la-carte order or opt for the “Sparrow Sampler” box for a complete selection of the week’s offerings. Pick-up will be every Friday at local businesses.
POP-UPS: We’ll still be popping up around the Catskills with your favorite breakfast sandwiches and coffee so be sure to sign up to our email list below and follow us on Instagram for 2026 dates: @LuckySparrowCatskills
CATERING: Don’t forget, we offer catering! I will be taking a few catering events each season with a focus on yoga retreats/wellness events and family style dinners.
See our CATERING page for more info on that.
EMAIL SIGN-UP:

As Dolly says
If you see someone without a smile, give ‘em one of yours!
Giving Back:
We donate at least 3% of profits annually to regional food insecurity charity and monthly meals to food services in the area. We donate food weekly to a mutual aid meal service. Any orders not retrieved by the designated window will be donated to a local food charity.
Local Pledge:
Our goal is to source as many ingredients as possible locally. While not every ingredient is local, every menu item contains a local ingredient!
WHY WE USE ALUMINUM:
At Lucky Sparrow Kitchen, we care deeply about how our food is made — and how it’s packaged.
After researching many options, we chose aluminum containers because they’re the most responsible, practical, and sustainable choice for the kind of food we serve.
We chose aluminum because it’s safe, durable, widely recyclable, and aligned with our values of thoughtful, low-waste food service.
Here’s why:
✔ Infinitely recyclable
Aluminum can be recycled again and again without losing quality — unlike plastic.
✔ Better for hot, fresh food
Our meals are meant to be reheated safely. Aluminum is oven-safe, heat-stable, and doesn’t leach chemicals.
✔ Lower real-world environmental impact
While aluminum takes energy to produce, recycling it uses 95% less energy than making new aluminum — and it’s one of the most commonly recycled materials in the U.S.
✔ No microplastics
Unlike plastic or compostable coatings, aluminum won’t break down into microplastics when heated.
✔ The most honest option available
Many “compostable” containers only break down in industrial facilities that don’t exist in most areas. Aluminum actually gets recycled.
♻️ HOW TO RECYCLE YOUR CONTAINER (BEST PRACTICE)
We make it easy to do the right thing:
✔ Rinse lightly to remove food
✔ Remove any paper labels or lids
✔ Place in your regular recycling bin
✔ Reuse it at home (great for leftovers or freezer meals!)
💡 Fun fact: Nearly 75% of all aluminum ever produced is still in use today.
