Meet Chef Lucky

Renee “Lucky” Alexander brings over thirty years of experience in hospitality to Lucky Sparrow Catskills. She began her career at a small but mighty café in Norfolk, Virginia, where she first explored vegan cooking while serving as a preferred vendor for PETA, then headquartered nearby.

For the past two decades, Lucky has moved between the restaurant world and marketing, blending culinary craft with thoughtful storytelling. After living in the Catskills for ten years, she is now turning her full focus back to cooking while deepening her understanding of the healing power of food through studies at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and the MindBodyGreen Institute.

Through Lucky Sparrow, Chef Lucky aims to be a nurturing presence for her Catskills neighbors—sharing love, building community, and offering nourishment and healing through her food.
